Crossover / Under Bitless Bridle
The Evoequine Crossover bridle.
This stunning bridle littery wraps itself around your horse for a head hugging feel. It is very beneficial for ridders that are new to Bitless riding as it is very humane to use and offers a greater rein release from the riders hands when compared to other models.
The Dr Cook style bridle offers an indirect pressure when the rein aid is applied. We have found many horses go well in this bridle.
This stylish cross-under bitless bridle has flat leather cross straps, reinforced (if you are already a user of a Dr Cook or similar you will know that plain leather crossovers need replacing from time to time). Replacement crossover straps are available.
The bridle has a raised and padded noseband and browband with the option of a straight or soft curved browband. The headpiece contains the unique TMJ pressure releasing pads to help keep the bridle away from the facial nerves. The headpiece is nicely padded over the poll for all round comfort and it is embossed with the Evoequine signature. There is the option of the bridle being supplied with matching leather reins with clips or the bridle can be purchased without. Standard rein attachment will also work.
This bridle is excellent value for money and with it selling out four times now over the years it’s been extremely successful with our customers.
Fitting Advice :
The Cross Under Bitless bridle is fitted slightly differently to a standard bridle. You need to fit the noseband with one to two fingers placed sideways below the horses cheek bones. As shown on the bridle demonstrated in the photos above. Following this you need to check that the noseband is not falling in a red zone as shown on the diagrams. This is very important as all horses have a slightly different facial conformation and the rule of one to two fingers below the cheek bones could be incorrect. If you use the bridle with the noseband in a red zone you could cause harm and discomfort for your horse. The noseband should be appropriately one and a half inches above the corner of the horses mouth.
The cross under straps are positioned correctly on the bridle at the time of packaging. We have shown the straps correct set up and position in the photos on the horse model for you to see.
Your reins will directly attach to the rings of these under straps. If you have followed these fitting instruction's and would like us to check the fit of your bridle please do send us pictures as we are more than happy to look and check for you.
Product Note: Please note we are leather manufactures and we are not qualified to teach ridding bit-less as a technique . However we are more than happy to check the fitting of the bridle via photos if required.
