This exciting course will guide you into the world of Bit and Bridle fitting. It is designed to help you recognise a correctly fitted bridle and bit inculding the impact an ill fitting bridle/bit can have on the horse and its way of going. The course is aimed at horse owners and clients that are exploring the equine sector for the first time as a possible new career. This is a pure distance learning course ran by unit books and activities for further research.
With EvoEquines founder being a fully qualified cert ed teacher and verifier with vast years of educational teaching you can experience learning in a supportive environment that mets a wide range of learning styles.
On this course you will cover theory units at home to read and learn around your other commitments. This offers flexibility around your learning. A question and answer assignment is then due to monitor your understanding and any additional support that maybe required prior to you completing. This is not a pass or fail activity, It is to see the areas that you may-need to re-explore and understand before moving on with your learning journey. This ensures you get the most out of your learning.
Once the assignment has been marked by your allocated tutor you will be offered support if required to complete or you would have susscsufuly passed the Introductory bit and bridle fitting course. If you have enjoyed the introductory course you have the option to enhance your study even further and apply to join our in-depth Advanced Bridle Fitters Course or the Master bit fitting course. This contains more in-depth learning, and hands on practice.
You can ask your tutor as many questions as you require as our aim is to support you every step of the way. During the course you will cover the below:
Theory sessions Will be covering:
- The history of the Bridle and Bits
- Learning about the horse’s head- Includes the anatomy, facial nerves and Teeth
- Bridle Materials
- How to clean and look after leather
- How to fit a range of nosebands correctly
- Bits and care
- The Hyoid
- Recognising an ill- fitting bridle
- Unit Assignment to complete the Introduction to bridle fitting course
On successful completion of the elements you will then receive the recognised certification for insurance and to start your new career.
You can choose to have your study recognised by one or two recognised body's. This is completely up to you but once we have registered you we cannot amend this. EvoEquines aim is to provide you with a fun, supported learning environment. Your personal tutor is there to guide you as required every-step of the way. All tutors are industry experts and experienced. They have been specially selected for their passion and approachability.

Once you have made the payment for the course you will receive a welcome email from your tutor within 48 hours during Monday-Friday.
