Bit And Lip Butter
Not only is this Bit and Lip Butter effective it smells Devine.
This gorgeous butter will not only help your horse with accepting the bit and aid relaxation of the jaw, it will replace lost moisture to the skin around the mouth. Alongside this it will help prevent and treat bit rubs and bit pinching on the corners of the mouth with sensitive horses. The lavender balm can help support broken skin healing with its natural antiseptic and healing properties.
Containing only 100% "natural" moisturising ingredients with additional aromatherapy oils. Our specially formulated balm has no hidden nasty ingredients inside. You will be resisting popping it on yourself!
Recommended Application: Sparingly apply the butter as it goes along-way around the skin area the bit comes into contact with. Place in the corners of the mouth and on the horses bit itself if you are also trying to aid acceptance of the horses bit.
Ingredients list: Shea butter, Sweet almond oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba oil, Beeswax Grade A, peppermint or lavender aromatherapy oils and vitamin E oil.
We often get asked which flavour to order. The peppermint butter we recommend for horses with no current open skin issues and the lavender if a rub has happened to help it heal. Horses tend to enjoy the peppermint favour for helping the horse to accepting the bit and relaxation of the jaw with bit support.
Whilst the peppermint does offer relief from dryness, minor discomfort, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory , antimicrobial and it can sooth irritation we feel the lavender has more support for healing the skin.
Product note: Always test a small area prior to full appication for skin sensitivity's. As it contains Aromatherapy oils it is not suitable for mares in foal.
