Bridle Size & Fitting

Headpiece
Measure from the base of the ear on one side of the head, (indicated as a blue X on the image above) over the poll to the base of the ear on the other side. This will give an indication as to the size needed at B. If in any doubt, always go up a size.
Browband
Measure from the base of the ear on one side, (indicated as a blue X on the image above) across the front of the head, to the base of the ear on the other side.
This will give an indication as to the size needed at C. If in any doubt, always go up a size.
Cheekpieces
This measurement is best taken with your bit already fitted.If you use two vastly different bits, eg a Gag and a Snaffle, you may need two sets of cheekpieces.
Measure from the top of your bit rings, to the outside corner of the eye. These points are clearly marked by the red lines on the image above. This will give you an indication as to the size needed at D. If in doubt, always opt for shorter cheekpieces.
Your cheekpiece buckles should always line up with the eye, ideally on the middle hole of the headpiece.
Noseband
Measure from the point of cheekbone one one side, across the face to the point of the cheekbone on the other side. The point is marked as a yellow cross on the image above. This will give an indication as to the G measurement.

All of our bridles except for the Classic bridle, are available in both patent and smooth leather.
The Classic bridle is only available in smooth leather.
Patent leather will be used for the noseband and browband if this option is selected.
The padding refers to the material backing the noseband, browband and headpiece.
The Classic bridle does not have any padding on the noseband or browband.
Colours
Patent colours currently available are Black and Brown.
Smooth Leather colours currently available are Black and Havana Brown.
Padding colours currently available are Black, Brown and White.
The Classic bridle is only available in smooth leather.
